Baby Registry

Where to Start and What to Add

With your new addition arriving soon, you’ve probably realized preparing for a baby can become expensive. Baby registries are made to help take the stress away, and to give your friends and family a specific idea of what you really want for your bundle of joy.

Some common places to register include: Target, Walmart, BuyBuy Baby, MacroBaby, Pottery Barn Kids, and Amazon. BabyList is an online registry that combines items from multiple sources. For example, if you want a stroller from Target and a car seat from BuyBuy Baby, you can add it all to your BabyList.

What Should I Add to My Baby Registry:

Car Seat- Without a car seat installed, you will not be allowed to leave the hospital. There are so many different car seats to choose from that vary from weight, size, and easy access from the car to stroller.

Stroller- Try to choose the right one that best fits your lifestyle. I found a couple that can be arranged in different ways and convert from newborn to toddler. This is neat because your baby won't outgrow the stroller and you won’t have to purchase multiple.

The Owl Baby Monitor- I have heard great things about this monitor! It is a little sock that comes in three different sizes and it tracks your baby's heart rate and oxygen levels and it alerts you via app if levels are off.

Bottles- Whether you breastfeed or bottle feed, bottles are a must. There are bottles with a venting system that prevent air bubbles, and bottles that you pump into and then screw a nipple on to feed. You baby may go through phases where they only prefer a specific type, find what works for you.

Diaper bag- They come in all shapes and sizes, from small to large. From bags to backpacks.

Baby Swing/bouncer- You can choose between different motions, sounds, and rhythms.

Baby Monitor- With today's technology they have so many different options to choose from. Most of them connect to your phone and allow you to zoom in close to check on your baby.

Carrier- They have wraps for a more comfortable carry and more suitable for the newborn stage or slings with more support for the infant and toddler stage.

Diapers- You will be surprised how fast you will go through diapers!

While the list of products you can use is endless, it is important to select those which you feel comfortable using and baby enjoys.
