What is considered a high-risk pregnancy?
Your pregnancy might be considered “high-risk” if you’re:
- A young teenager
- Over age 35
- Overweight or obese
- Pregnant with more than 1 baby
- Have a history of high-risk pregnancies
- Have chronic health conditions: High blood pressure, diabetes, HIV, etc.
Just because you have a high-risk pregnancy, doesn’t mean you should worry. Dr. K and his team will guide you through everything you need to do, right from the get-go. In some cases you might know ahead of time of your chances of having a high-risk pregnancy. Other times, you might not know until your doctor sees something that concerns him.
